Here is where I sell things I make, write, believe in, or source. I run this shop as per the rhythms of my life, my family’s life, as per the rhythms of the world around me and those of the people I work with who help me to run this shop. It’s a very human and loving endeavor which I do with integrity for the health and well-being of all those involved. That is my wish for all of us. Thank you for your support.

Returning to India in adulthood to run my hands over vintage, worn-through soft kantha blankets and rugs has been one of the ways in which I return, heal, learn. We work with and support Indian sellers of sustainable, upcycled, vintage fabrics and rugs.

Traditionally, old cotton saris, lungis and dhotis, which had turned incredibly soft through wear, were used to make kanthas, with the thread for the stitching drawn out from the fabric itself. Several saris would be layered together. The stitch would cover the entire cloth to provide strength.
